Valencia are trying to close out a deal for Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin, who has previously been linked to Manchester United and Tottenham.
Fredy Guarin is expected to leave Inter before the transfer window closes, but talks with Valencia are proving complicated.
The Colombian international was on the brink of leaving Inter for rivals Juventus back in January and had his bags packed when the deal fell through.
The aborted transfer unsettled Guarin, who was then linked to Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham but ended up staying for the rest of the campaign.
It has been suggested that Guarin could be a back-up option for United should a deal for Arturo Vidal not happen, but it now looks like the Red Devils have moved on and Valencia have replaced Zenit Saint Petersburg as the frontrunners for the 28-year-old.
But, according to the latest reports in Italy, Valencia and Inter are struggling to come to an agreement.
There may also be a disagreement over whether Valencia will get first refusal on a permanent transfer next summer and what the valuation would be.
Over the last few hours it has been suggested that an agreement is closer, but as yet there is no official announcement, which will worry Guarin, who can’t afford to be left in limbo again.
