Celtic forward Vakoun Issouf Bayo made his debut on Sunday.
Celtic snatched a dramatic late win on Sunday afternoon, beating Kilmarnock 1-0 at Rugby Park with a last-gasp Scott Brown goal.
The Bhoys were hoping to benefit from Rangers failing to beat St Johnstone, but were made to work hard for their three points by Steve Clarke’s gutsy Killie side.
Kilmarnock defender Kirk Broadfoot was sent off with 15 minutes to play, but it took until the 91st minute for Celtic to break through, with Brown firing a late winner.
Celtic now sit eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, and are closing in on the title after a spirited battle by Rangers.
Sunday’s game also saw Celtic hand a first-team debut to striker Vakoun Isssouf Bayo, with the Ivorian coming on as an 89th minute substitute for the Bhoys.
The forward joined from Dunajska Streda last month, but has been working on his fitness levels having last played in early December.
Brendan Rodgers saw fit to play the striker as a late substitute, and he took to Instagram to post a photo of himself in action, noting that he was very happy to make his debut and praised the travelling fans.
Bayo also wants teammates to teach him the celebration at the final whistle, posting an Instagram story asking to be taught the dance after watching the other Bhoys players do it.
