Leeds United will face Norwich City and Wigan Athletic in their final two Championship matches.

Not so long ago Leeds United looked set for a top-six finish in the Championship and were even threatening to make a push for the automatic promotion places.

However, at the moment, there is a distinct possibility that Leeds may not even end up in the playoffs this season. Back-to-back defeats to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burton Albion have seen the Whites slip out of the top six.

The West Yorkshire outfit are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 73 points from 44 matches, three points behind sixth-placed Fulham.

Leeds’s final two league fixtures are against Norwich City at Elland Road and against Wigan Athletic away from home at the DW Stadium.

For Garry Monk’s side to ascertain their place in the playoffs, they need to pick up maximum points from the matches against Norwich and Wigan.

Can the Whites bounce back from defeats to Wolves and Burton and win their final two Championship matches of the season?

Former Leeds head coach Uwe Rosler, now at Fleetwood Town in League One, thinks so.

“They have now Norwich at home, where normally they are very strong, and Wigan in the last game away from home,” said Rosler on the Football On 5: The Championship show on Channel 5 last Saturday evening (broadcast from 9pm, April 22, 2017). “I think they will get six points.”
