Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club confirmed the appointment of Graeme Jones, who will join Steve Bruce’s coaching staff.
Jones leaves his role as No.2 to Jason Tindall at Bournemouth to join his boyhood club, who he’s supported all his life according to Newcastle’s announcement.
The 50-year-old has managerial experience, as well as his previous work as an assistant.
Jones managed Luton Town, but was sacked after less than a year in charge. as the BBC reported
Interestingly, Bruce’s new assistant has also worked closely with Belgium boss Roberto Martinez.

Jones was the Spaniard’s assistant at Wigan and Everton, and also followed him into international football with Belgium.
He leaves Bournemouth with the Cherries sat in the Play-Off places – he and Tindall have been doing a fine job this season.
Whether or not Jones will make a difference to Newcastle’s fortunes remains to be seen.
If he is to help turn the Magpies’ form around, he’ll need to work a miracle.

Newcastle are without a win in 11 games, and have only scored five goals during that dreadful run of form.
If Jones can spark an instant upturn in results, he could potentially be heralded as a saviour by the Toon Army.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying about his appointment on Twitter…
