Leeds United stumbled to a 0-0 home draw with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon, and fans were far from impressed with the performance of Pablo Hernandez.

The Whites were left heartbroken by Tom Cairney’s late equaliser for Fulham in the 1-1 midweek draw at Craven Cottage, and were hoping to hit back against Ian Holloway’s R’s at Elland Road.

However, Leeds were left disappointed in a frustrating afternoon, as top goalscorer Chris Wood was starved of service in the final third, whilst Robert Green was called upon to prevent Conor Washington when through on goal.

With Sheffield Wednesday and Reading both losing, Leeds remain fourth in the table, but Fulham’s win at Newcastle United mean that they’re now just six points behind Leeds in the race for a play-off spot.

A number of Leeds players disappointed in Saturday’s 0-0 draw, and whilst Liam Bridcutt received most of the criticism, fans slammed Pablo Hernandez after the final whistle.

The Spaniard is a favourite of manager Garry Monk having played and worked together at Swansea City, and he penned a permanent deal from Qatari side Al-Arabi in January having spend the first half of the season on loan.

Hernandez, 31, has hit four goals and eight assists in a key role this season, but his performance against QPR drew major criticism on Twitter.

Fans called his display ‘utterly appalling’, ‘terrible’ and branded him an ‘absolute waste of space’, pleading for manager Monk to take him out of the team and give him a rest.

Others questioned whether Hernandez has even had a good game since signing permanently, and called for the real Hernandez to return as the season enters its final stretch.
