Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported they turned down a chance to bring Harry Winks to Elland Road on loan.
Leeds could certainly do with a new midfielder through the door this summer as they’re once again resorting to playing Stuart Dallas in the middle of the park, and while he’s been brilliant there, it isn’t his natural position.
The Whites lack depth in the middle, but they’ve turned down a potential solution in the shape of Winks.
United supporters can’t quite get their head around this, and to be honest, neither can we.
Leeds have both of their domestic loan spots free, and while Winks hasn’t been great for Spurs recently, this is still an England international who has started in a Champions League final.
Winks would have added something to this squad, but for one reason or another, Leeds have decided against bringing him in on loan.
