United States star Tyler Adams has offered England’s Alex Scott some advice ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Adams and Scott are central midfield partners at Bournemouth, who just finished sixth in the Premier League.
They were both called up to international duty following their impressive 2025/26 campaigns with the Cherries.
While Adams is one of the USA’s top players, Scott has a completely different role within the England squad.

Tyler Adams sends message to Alex Scott after England call-up
England manager Thomas Tuchel actually left Alex Scott out of his 26-man squad for the World Cup this summer.
Instead, he was selected to train with the England squad and to be on standby in case of an injury to another player.
Even if he does not play at the World Cup, it is still an excellent opportunity for Scott to impress Tuchel and his coaching staff.
The 22-year-old even has a slim chance of making his senior international debut in England’s next friendly against Costa Rica.
USA midfielder Tyler Adams has revealed what he told Scott when he heard about his involvement before the World Cup.
“For Alex, I’m super super excited. He had a great season. I think he took a huge step forward this season,” Adams told talkSPORT.
“We could all see the talent he has and what he’s capable of. He was my midfield partner for the entire season, and we balanced really well next to each other.
“As I told him, going into that England camp, anything can happen; you have to be ready for your opportunity if it comes. I hope he gets his debut.”
Scott would be a quality replacement for any of England’s midfielders if they suffer an injury against Costa Rica.
He played 37 of Bournemouth’s 38 league games this season, scoring three goals and assisting another.
The highlight of Scott’s season was probably his match-winning goal against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in April.
His performances helped Bournemouth go on an 18-game unbeaten run despite losing Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City in January.
Scott will probably not make his England debut this summer, but it seems only a matter of time before that moment arrives.
