The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is a far from popular figure amongst the club’s fans.

Tottenham flop Moussa Sissoko spoke to reporters whilst away on Spurs’ pre-season tour in America, insisting that he is hoping to play a big part for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season, and the club’s fans took to Twitter in response to the Frenchman’s comments.
The 28-year-old has been much maligned since moving to Tottenham from Newcastle on transfer deadline day in 2016, for what was at the time a club record fee of £30 million.
Large sections of the Spurs fanbase believe that Sissoko is not fit to wear the white and blue strip.
The Frenchman has a different view, however, telling reporters that as long as the manager and staff are satisfied with what he’s doing, he is happy, as quoted by the Daily Mail:

“My ambition is the same as always. To try to be better and better, to try to improve, to try to help the team to finish higher up the league, try to go far in the Champions League. Try to perform. I will try to play more and I will try to do better and better. I’m happy with everyone here. The staff are always happy with me so I’ll try to keep going.”
Spurs are expected to mount a sustained push for the Premier League title this season, and if they are to do just that, Poch will need all of his fringe players to play their part.

Sissoko obviously feels that he can make a difference for Tottenham, but some Spurs fans seem to be split as to whether he deserves the chance to prove himself…
