Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that they are going to miss out on signing Ilaix Moriba from Barcelona.
Sky Sports reported in their Transfer Blog (31/08/21 at 9:18 am) that Moriba has opted to join RB Leipzig over Spurs.
It is said that the 18-year-old is having his medical in Germany and is edging closer to completing a move away from the Nou Camp.
Spurs fans have urged the club to move on from the teenager, with some suspecting he may have used them in order to get a better deal with Leipzig.
It has been well-documented that Barcelona are having financial troubles, hence why many of their star players are moving on, including the bigger of them all in Lionel Messi.
But Spurs won’t be getting their highly-rated teenager and they are now wondering who they will push for before Tuesday’s 11 pm deadline, if anyone at all.
There’s not long left before the summer transfer window slams shut and it seems as though Emerson Royal is the only one set to join.
Spurs are set to pay £26 million for his defensive talents, according to BBC Sport.
Nonetheless, whilst one Barca player is set to sign, another doesn’t.
