Manchester United vs Everton was a cracker of a game.
A cold wet afternoon at Old Trafford produced an interesting tactical affair that ended in a draw, but it very easily could have gone another way.
Indeed, the Toffees thought they’d won it in the closing minutes after Tom Davies squared the ball to Yerry Mina who was able to tap the ball home.
However, after a bit of intervention from VAR, Mina was found to be marginally offside and the strike was disallowed.
As you can imagine, this usage of VAR sparked plenty of debate on social media, and famous Manchester United fan and eight-time Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt has given his view.
Bolt reckons Mina was miles offside, but we can’t help but disagree with his view.
Without VAR, this goal would have been given and the decision was incredibly close.
Of course, Bolt is known to be a bit of a jokester, and this tweet was probably put out there to wind up the Everton fans.
Sadly for the Toffees, they come away from Old Trafford with just one point rather than all three, but this was certainly a performance they can take positives from and be very proud of.
