American fans have praised Nottingham Forest defender Eric Lichaj’s display against Bolivia yesterday.

Lichaj captained his nation last night, as they picked up a 3-0 victory over Bolivia in a friendly.

The Forest defender started at right-back, and there are calls for him to be given a more regular role for America from now on.

Lichaj’s future at Forest is currently uncertain, with suggestions that he could leave starting to become louder.

The Nottingham Post claim that a host of clubs are after Lichaj, who has just one year left on his contract at the City Ground.

Eric Lichaj #15 of the United States against Martinique during the first half of the CONCACAF Group B match at Raymond James Stadium on July 12, 2017 in Tampa, Florida.

Lichaj has had a rather indifferent season at Forest over the past campaign, with the full-back being rotated in and out of the Reds’ starting line-up.

It has been suggested that Lichaj could move back to play domestic football in MLS, which might boost his international chances next season.

USA scored their goals against Bolivia through Walker Zimmerman, Josh Sargent and Timothy Weah.
