West Bromwich Albion are looking for a new manager after sacking Tony Pulis on Monday.
Alan Pardew is now odds-on to become the new manager of West Bromwich Albion with bookmakers Sky Bet.
The former Crystal Palace boss has gone from 10/1 outsider to 1/2 clear favourite in little over 24 hours, ahead of ex-Baggies player and coach, Sam Allardyce, who is 10/3 for the Hawthorns post.
Previous favourite Michael O’Neill has drifted out of the running to 16/1, although his namesake, Martin O’Neill, is now 8/1 third favourite.
The latter is currently in charge of the Republic of Ireland national team, though his position is uncertain after their recent 5-1 aggregate defeat to Denmark in the World Cup play-offs.
Pardew, who worked with West Brom technical director Nick Hammond at Reading, is interested in succeeding Tony Pulis as manager of the Baggies, the Telegraph reported on Tuesday.
West Brom gave Pulis his marching orders on Monday, after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea left them a point above the relegation places and without a win in 10 Premier League matches.
