Sunday’s World Cup final is being hit by warnings across New York over the air quality following the recent Canadian wildfires.

Although FIFA do not appear to be concerned over the ongoing situation impacting Sunday’s final in New Jersey, there are serious warnings being shared.

What Saturday’s New York air quality report is saying ahead of World Cup final

New York’s air quality is set to improve from very unhealthy to unhealthy on Sunday.

Spain vs Argentina is set to get underway at 3pm local time in East Rutherford, which will see the closing ceremony start at 1:30pm.

Despite the controversy, the extended half-time show will provide the players with an opportunity to catch their breath in what is expected to be a 30-minute half-time break.
