Leeds United face a challenge to sign Samu Saiz.

Leeds United’s pursuit of Samu Saiz is not over the line yet, with Huesca holding out for a bidding war.

Spanish newspaper AS report that Huesca are continuing to evaluate offers for the forward.

The report states that so far Leeds United’s offer of 3.5 million Euros is the most attractive on the table, but that they are continuing to receive proposals for him.

Saiz has been on holiday in Miami, which has also delayed the switch, but Leeds should remain hopeful of getting the deal done.

His departure from Spanish second division side Huesca appears certain, it is just a question of where he will end up.

Eibar were in pole position to sign him before Leeds came in and outbid them.

They have just received a fee from Newcastle for defender Florian Lejeune, so potentially they could have a little more to play with, to try and beat or match Leeds’ offer.
