Juan Foyth’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur is getting closer.

Tottenham Hotspur’s deal to sign Juan Foyth from Estudiantes is edging closer.

Argentine newspaper El Dia report Foyth is ready to fly to England as soon as the transfer is signed off.

Official documents from Tottenham arrived with Estudiantes yesterday (21/8).

The report states: “Now it will be a question of certifying everything, exchanging documentation and then yes, all ready for the 19 year old to travel to London.”

The final fee will be 13 million Euros (£11.9m).

Foyth continues to train at Estudiantes away from his teammates and is not involved in their matchday preparations.

The Argentina under-20 international has been linked with a move to Spurs all summer and he has been keen on joining the Premier League side ahead of PSG.

PSG had been leading the race after outbidding Tottenham’s £9 million, but Spurs have now increased their offer in order to seal the transfer.

Now it appears a formality that the centre-back will seal his transfer.
