Alan Shearer on Ivan Toney potentially leaving Brentford for Arsenal
Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer believes that Arsenal could be able to sign Toney in the January transfer window.
Shearer has noted that Brentford manager Thomas Frank recently said that the club are open to selling Toney.
The BBC pundit made the comments about Toney and Arsenal when former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker noted that Arsenal want to sign the striker.

Shearer said about Toney and Arsenal on The Rest is Football podcast: “My guess is that yes he is going to be up for sale and they are sowing the seeds now and feeling the waters, if you like, and seeing how it’s going.
“He would be a good player for a top club because he will always get goals and he will always be a threat.”
Arsenal could be able to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford
In our view, Arsenal could be able to sign Ivan Toney from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.
If the Bees are willing to sell the striker, then the Gunners do have a good chance of signing him.
Toney is training now and is in good shape despite not playing at the moment.
The striker could be able to make an immediate impact at Arsenal.
Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season and are also looking to make an impact in the UEFA Champions League.
The Englishman has made 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Toney has scored 32 goals and given nine assists in those games.
