Paul Scholes has told PremierLeague.com that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was at fault for the second goal that Manchester United scored at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Manchester United got the better of Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League last night.
Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford scored the goals for the Red Devils.
Egypt international forward Mohamed Salah found the back of the net for Liverpool in the 81st minute.
Former United star Scholes believes that £190,000-a-week (SalarySport) Alisson should have done better for the goal that Rashford scored, saying that the Brazil international goalkeeper was in a bad position.
Paul Scholes on Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson v Manchester United
Scholes said about Alisson on PremierLeague.com: “Jadon Sancho had a difficult season last year in a difficult team but the composure for his goal showed real talent. It was great skill. For the second goal Alisson showed too much space at his near post. It was an unusual goal, the keeper’s in a bad position.”

Disappointing performance
In our view, Liverpool had a bad performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Monday evening.
And, like most of his teammates, Alisson did not have a particular good game.
The Brazilian did make some decent saves, but he could have done better for the goal that Jadon Sancho scored.
Yes, he was left exposed, but Alisson should not have dived to his left before Sancho had actually taken his shot.
Maybe the former AS Roma star should have done better for Rashford’s goal as well.
Alisson, though, did make a great stop from Christian Eriksen’s free kick, but overall, he was not at his commanding self.
