Everton earned a 2-0 win over Swansea City’s second string.

Everton’s Under-23 manager David Unsworth has told the club’s official website that £25million flop Davy Klaassen is a pleasure to work with after he turned out for the Toffees’ second string on Monday night.
The Merseyside outfit earned a comfortable 2-0 win over Swansea City at Goodison Park thanks to goals from Anthony Evans and Con Ouzounidis either side of the half-time whistle in Premier League 2.
Klaassen, 25, featured for 70 minutes of the win alongside defender Ramiro Funes Mori, as well as the likes of Beni Baningime, Josh Bowler and Lewis Gibson.

After the match, development manager Unsworth spoke of Klaassen’s excellent attitude towards playing for the reserve side and stated that gaining some minutes will do him “no harm” in his pursuit of first-team football.
“Fantastic for Klaassen to get 70 minutes,” Unsworth said. “He’s trained with us for the last couple of days and he is a fantastic professional footballer. He’s a pleasure to work with, a pleasure to coach.
“He was buzzing to get some minutes under his belt and that will have done him no harm at all, he showed one or two nice touches. He was talking to Beni [Baningime] and all the young players throughout the game. Great attitude.”

Klaassen joined Everton last summer after captaining Ajax to the Europa League final but has since been ostracised by Sam Allardyce, with the Holland international failing to feature in the Premier League since September.
He could be given a chance in the first team though after his appearance on Monday night, as the Toffees play host to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday at Goodison Park.
Allardyce will be looking for new inspiration from somewhere in order to gain three points, after just two wins in their last 11 Premier League outings.
