Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has lauded Mohamed Salah for his start to the season.

Speaking to the Athletic, Jurgen Klopp’s righthand man was full of praise for the Egyptian attacker after his blistering start to the 2021/22 campaign. Salah was again on the scoresheet this weekend as Liverpool won 5-0.

The winger could make a solid claim for being the most in-form player in world football. Salah has bagged ten goals in ten games in all competitions for Liverpool this season, registering four assists as well.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have started the campaign in electric fashion. Liverpool look like real contenders for the Premier League trophy, and Salah’s form has been key to this belief inside the club and amongst fans that a title charge is possible.

And for Lijnders, the key Liverpool coach believes that Salah is now unstoppable in the current form he is in for the Reds. The Merseyside assistant said: “We all know that Mo is a special player and he is playing with pure joy.

“When top players can enjoy football and have this professionalism, they become unstoppable. Sometimes it looks like he is in the park, a young boy again, dribbling and combining to score.”

Words are quickly running out to describe Salah’s form this season. The Egyptian has been the best player in the Premier League this campaign and is a reasonable suggestion for the top-performing name in all of Europe.

Indeed, with Salah in such inspired form, Liverpool have a genuine shot at winning a second Premier League title in three years. And if the Egyptian can remain fit and firing, the Reds have the deadliest attacker in the division amongst their ranks.
