PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is likely to decide his future today after interest from Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

Ibrahim Sangare is set to make a decision on a potential transfer after helping PSV Eindhoven reach the Champions league group stage.

That is according to Eindhovens Dagblad reporter Rik Elfrink, who claims that Sangare will ‘probably’ make a decision on his future today.

Sangare helped PSV reach the Champions League group stage on Wednesday night with a win over Rangers.

It’s stated that Sangare could now go to Nottingham Forest but a potential move is far from certain.

Elfrink notes that Sangare must decide on whether he wants to play in the Premier League or the Champions League.

That decision is not easy after such a euphoric night on Wednesday with Sangare potentially choosing to stay.

Elfrink also reports that Forest have offered €35million (£30million) to sign Sangare, which could be enough to do a deal.

Sangare is understood to have a £32million release clause in his contract with Forest now hoping to land a small discount.

Don’t rule Liverpool out of Ibrahim Sangare race

ESPN Netherlands reported earlier this month that Liverpool are in the mix to sign Sangare.

The Reds have been looking at a number of holding midfielders in recent weeks and did sign Wataru Endo.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are now looking to land Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich in an attempt to add another midfielder.

That could be the end of the business but Gravenberch isn’t a natural holder in midfield, unlike Sangare.

Adding Sangare as competition for Endo would make plenty of sense, allowing Gravenberch to play as more of a box-to-box player.

The fees for Endo, Gravenberch and Sangare wouldn’t even come close to the money Liverpool were ready to pay for Moises Caicedo alone.

It’s far from likely but Liverpool may well look at around £30million for Sangare as being good business on top of the deals for Endo and Gravenberch.

Hailed as ‘unstoppable’ by PSV boss Roger Schmidt, Sangare is a name on the Liverpool radar and they will surely be watching the progress of Forest’s move with real interest.
