Gary Lineker has given his take on Twitter on the penalty that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane earned against Aston Villa this evening.

The former Tottenham striker does not think that Kane should have been given the penalty.

Spurs got the better of Villa 2-0 away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League this evening.

Carlos Vinicius put the North London outfit in the lead in the first half, and midway through the second period Kane doubled the advantage from the penalty spot.

Lineker does not think that the penalty that Kane earned should have been given.

It was a controversial decision, and Villa fans will feel aggrieved, but there is nothing that anyone can do now.

Even without the decision, Spurs would have probably won the game. Jose Mourinho’s side were 1-0 up at that stage and looked the better side.

As for Kane, the England international striker would not mind the penalty call going his way.

The 27-year-old has now scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists in 27 Premier League games for Spurs this season, according to WhoScored.
