Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Illan Meslier make Myron Boadu look silly last night.

The Leeds No.1 was in between the sticks for France in their Under-21 EURO 2020 quarter-final against the Netherlands.

With France 1-0 up and cruising, Meslier was closed down by Boadu, before pulling off a brilliant piece of skill to deceive the 20-year-old.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, the 21-year-old then played a brilliant long-range pass to pick out Moussa Diaby on the right flank.

It was something we’re starting to become accustomed to with Meslier, who is looking every inch like a player who could become Europe’s best in his position.

Sadly, the Marcelo Bielsa favourite couldn’t progress into the semi-final with his teammates, as Boadu scored twice to turn the game around.

It was something of a shock result.

France boast an unbelievable side at this age level, and also defended well enough so that Meslier didn’t need to make a single save, according to SofaScore.

If it’s any consolation, Meslier can now go on his holidays earlier, and return to Elland Road in fine fettle with a long rest under his belt.

For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about his skill after footage emerged…
