‘Unreal’, ‘MOTM’: Some Everton fans & Duncan Ferguson laud 22-year-old’s FA Cup display

Everton supporters were wowed by Tom Davies’ performance last night as the Toffees recorded a memorable 5-4 win over Tottenham in the FA Cup.

Whilst Everton’s academy product didn’t get on the scoresheet. nor provide an assist, those on Merseyside felt he was Man of the Match on the night.

But the supporters weren’t the only one lauding the 22-year-old Englishman because Duncan Ferguson also liked what he saw.

After the game, the towering Scotsman told Everton’s official Twitter account that Davies is ‘starting to really perform’ and did ‘really well’ against the North London outfit.

It was a game to remember for the neutrals, as the nine-goal thriller ended up going to extra-time in a pulsating end-to-end encounter.

And Everton supporters felt one of their own was at the heart of the action, as they clawed their way back to lead 3-1 after going 1-0 down inside the first few minutes.

After that, both teams just kept throwing power punch and power punch, and in the end, it was Tottenham who were down on the deck and unable to respond to the ten count.
