Diogo Jota told Sky Sports that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross during Liverpool’s 3-0 win at the Emirates on Saturday was ‘unreal’.
It only took Jota a couple of minutes to open the scoring for Liverpool after he came off the bench, but he was fed with a Trent special.
Whilst a lot of talk over the international break has been about whether Gareth Southgate was right to snub TAA for England, he answered any critics in a pretty emphatic fashion.
Not only was it a great attacking performance from Liverpool’s academy product, but he remained solid and composed at the back also.
Jota shared his thoughts on his teammate and he was full of praise for the assist that he provided.
“Unreal,” said Jota. “I think, not just him, but we have some very good crossers in the team.
“We need to take advantage of that. It worked (against Arsenal) and hope it can work in the future as well.
“I just timed my run, so it makes it a lot easier for me to finish.”

Liverpool fans will want more of the same on Tuesday night as the English champions take on Real Madrid.
Whilst the Reds aren’t at their absolute best, one thing is for sure, certain players are beginning to come into form at the right time.
Real will be without Sergio Ramos, which is a crying shame because both Liverpool and the La Liga giants are missing their leaders at the back.
