Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner has received praise on Instagram from his USA teammates for his performance against Wales at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar on Monday.
Turner was in goal for the USA in their Group B match against Wales at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Arsenal goalkeeper Turner did not really have much to do in the first half, but he made a fantastic save to deny Wales and Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies in the second period.
It was a very good performance overall from Turner, cost the Gunners £7.5 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Major League Soccer club New England Revolution (The Sun).
And some of his USA teammates, such as Timothy Weah and Sam Vines were impressed, as you can see from their posts on Instagram below.
Praise for Arsenal and USA goalkeeper Matt Turner

Impressive
In our view, Matt Turner played well for the USA against Wales, and we think that the Arsenal goalkeeper’s performance will have impressed Gunners manager Mikel Arteta, if he was watching.
Turner cannot be blamed for the Wales penalty, and the American goalkeeper did not really do anything wrong.
The Arsenal man looked calm and composed between the posts and commanded his area well.
