‘Unplayable’ 24-year-old will reportedly cost Liverpool more than Jadon Sancho

According to The Times, Wolverhampton Wanderers want £135 million for Adama Traore, which means that Liverpool will have to pay more for him than for Jadon Sancho.

The report in The Times has claimed that Manchester City have a long-standing interest in Traore.

Wolves value the 24-year-old former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough winger at £135 million, according to the report.

The Mirror reported in June that Liverpool are interested in the former Barcelona prospect and have already enquired about the 24-year-old winger.

If the Reds are to pay £135m for Traore, then it will make the winger an even more expensive signing than Sancho.

The Times reported in June that Borussia Dortmund want £100 million for the 20-year-old winger, with The Daily Mail reporting last month than Liverpool are interested in the former Manchester City prospect.

Unlikely Liverpool transfer?

Described by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as “unplayable” in January 2020, as quoted in Goal.com, Traore would be a superb signing for Liverpool this summer.

However, it is hard to see the Reds – or any other club for that matter – cough up £135 million in transfer fee for a single player this summer amid the current economic climate.
