Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic won against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

Celtic maintained their strong run of form at the weekend. The Bhoys got the better of Motherwell 2-0 at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
Brendan Rodgers’s side headed into the match on the back of a 6-0 victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
The Hoops took the lead against Motherwell after 34 minutes when Moussa Dembele found the net from the penalty spot.
James Forrest, who is 25 years of age and operates as a winger, doubled the advantage for the home team four minutes from the half-time interval.
Motherwell manager Mark McGhee was impressed with the performance of Forrest on Saturday afternoon.
“Forrest tore Joe Chalmers apart for his goal but when he is in form like that he is unplayable for any defence in the country,” McGhee told The Scottish Sun.
“There is not a full back in Scotland who’d live with him at the moment, with his pace, his energy and his brightness.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Celtic had 63% of the possession, took 15 shots of which five were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Motherwell had 37% of the possession, took six shots of which one was on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
