Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo impressed for Cardiff City in their 1-1 draw with Derby County last night and, as Neil Harris tells the Bluebirds’ official website, the winger can be “unplayable” when on top form.
This 23-year-old journeyman just needs a home.
And, after mixed loan spells at Rangers, Reims, Fulham, Wolves and Wigan, he might have found one in South Wales.
Harris’s side relies heavily on jet-heeled wingers to create chances and, in old-school targetman Keiffer Moore, the Championship promotion-chasers have a striker who could be the perfect foil for the enigmatic Ojo.
Shortly after firing a wicked cross across the face of goal to no avail, Ojo bisected the Derby defence with a perfectly weighted pass to set up Moore’s equaliser at Pride Park.
“I think Sheyi is showing us his importance with a couple of goals and a couple of assists,” Harris said of a man who recently scored against Middlesbrough and Preston too.

“He had just been missing that final end product. In the first half he got into some great areas of the pitch but the cross wasn’t what it should be. But in moments, he’s unplayable.
“His counter-attacking ability and his ability to dribble are excellent, and he’s unpredictable.”
A year ago, Ojo’s long-range rocket sealed a famous European win for Rangers against Dutch giants Feyenoord.
His ability has never been in question. The challenge for Harris and Cardiff will be to find a way to coax the best out of the mercurial Ojo on a weekly basis.
