Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after some four-second footage emerged of Jordan Henderson screaming in Thiago Alcântara’s face.
The heated incident occurred during Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Leicester on Saturday, after the Spaniard gave away a freekick in a dangerous area.
Henderson – who Kenny Dalglish signed from Sunderland for £20 million – can be seen screaming in the face of the 29-year-old after his mistake.
Georginio Wijnaldum seems to have a pop at Thiago as well.
The former Barcelona maestro then appears to give some back to Henderson, shouting something in his direction after being told off.
James Maddison only made the situation between Henderson and Thiago worse after curling the set-piece beyond Alisson Becker and into the bottom corner.
While this footage might concern some Liverpool fans, it is good to see the captain let rip when he thinks one of his teammates could do better.
Actions such as this set the standard for the squad, and go a long way to ensure that the Reds never let complacency creep in.
It doesn’t matter who you are, what you’ve won, or if you’ve arrived from Bayern Munich or Rochdale – if you aren’t pulling your weight, Henderson will let you know it.
