And Arsenal fans think that the time has come for Saliba to be handed his chance.

There was great excitement about Saliba’s arrival at Arsenal this summer, but Mikel Arteta has been reluctant to use the teenager so far.

Saliba was actually linked with a loan move away from Arsenal in the summer, but he ended up sticking around.

It seems more likely that David Luiz will be called into the Gunners’ starting line-up now that Holding is injured, where he will likely partner Gabriel at the back.

But Saliba’s chances of getting some game time may just have improved, as he must now be in Arteta’s thoughts.
