Reported Manchester United target Martin Odegaard could be adding to his records in the coming days.
Reported Manchester United target Martin Odegaard has already broken a number of records in his short career.
The Norwegian attacking midfielder became the youngest ever player to represent his country when he made his senior debut in August this year, and the 15-year-old could add to those accolades if he nets in the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Malta or Bulgaria.
As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Gareth Bale currently holds the record for being the youngest player to score in a European Championship qualifying match, netting for Wales against Slovakia when he was 17 years and 83 days old.
But if Odegaard finds the net, he will smash that record as his 16th birthday is not until May.
The player was strongly tipped to move to United on transfer deadline day, with Sky Sports reporting at the time that he could join Radamel Falcao in those final busy few hours.
But the move failed to materialise, and while United remain in the picture, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also heavily linked.
Even if Odegaard does not score in the upcoming games, just taking to the field will break another record, as he would become the youngest player to feature in a European Championship qualifying game.
And something suggests he will continue breaking records for some time to come.
