Brazil beat the United States 2-0 on Saturday morning.

Everton fans may have been focusing on Jordan Pickford’s performance for England on Saturday night, but one of their other young talents was in action in the early hours of Saturday morning.
With the first international break of the season upon us, a host of Everton stars are in action around the globe – even players loaned out by the club.
Left back Antonee Robinson – currently loaned out to Championship side Wigan Athletic – has been establishing himself in the United States national team setup in 2018, and is now a regular starter for his country.
The 21-year-old may have been born in Milton Keynes, but qualifies to play for the US as his father is from New York, with the left back choosing to represent USA over England.
Robinson earned his third cap in Saturday’s game against Brazil, but he struggled to cope with the pace of Juventus winger Douglas Costa, and that was seen in the opening goal.
Costa blazed past Robinson to set up Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino to score from close range, and Neymar added a penalty to make the final score 2-0.

It’s natural for a player of Robinson’s experience – or lack thereof – to struggle against a quality winger like Costa, and US fans were a little worried about his display.
Some fans took Twitter to suggest that Robinson was overmatched against Costa, needs to work on his game and may never be good enough to succeed Lucas Digne as Everton’s first-choice left back down the line – though others felt that he improved as the game went on and continues to show promise that he can become a US regular in the future.
