Manchester United player Bebe has again been speaking about a possible move to Benfica.

Fresh quotes from Manchester United player Bebe have come to light in Portugal as the forward continues to wait for a much-mooted move to Benfica.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Pacos de Ferreira last season, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists in 39 appearances.

Such was his renaissance following a disappointing few years that not only was he touted to make it to the World Cup – which he did not – but he was also linked with a summer switch to the newly-crowned Primeira Liga champions.

But the move has failed to materialise thus far, with Bebe instead joining United’s reserves for their pre-season preparations.

Now Portuguese newspaper O Jogo has published a new interview with the player, in which he reveals just how eager he is to complete a permanent move.

Revealing that he has already packed his bags in preparation for a move, the player added, “I think I’m prepared to have a good season at Benfica. I do not want to rob anyone of their place; I want to work to win my place.”

Revealing that he has also informed his family of a possible move, the United player said, “I have family and friends in Lisbon to wait until a decision is made. Let’s see what happens. But as I said before, I would love to play at Benfica. I feel ready for it.”

Having not been included in United’s first-team travelling squad for their pre-season preparations, it seems Bebe will be on the way this summer. But until that move is confirmed, his future is tinged with an element of mystery.
