Sander Berge has been left out of the Sheffield United matchday squad for the FA Cup tie against Wrexham, amid speculation that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are interested in the midfielder.
90min have reported that Fulham are in talks with Sheffield United over a move for Berge in the final days of the January transfer window.
The Cottagers are willing to pay £20 million to the Blades for the 24-year-old Norway international midfielder, described by former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder as “unique” and “a complete midfielder” in VG in November 2020.
The Athletic have reported that Liverpool want to sign the former Genk star.
According to The Mirror (29/01, p77), Newcastle are considering a move for Berge.
The report has claimed that Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan are also interested in the Norwegian in the final days of the January transfer window.

Sheffield United are in action against Wrexham in the fourth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.
