Everton are set for a busy summer under Sean Dyche but it is imperative that the Toffees find a replacement for Anthony Gordon.
Since departing Newcastle United back in January of 2023, English winger Anthony Gordon has made quite the impact at St James’ Park and earned a call up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Gordon was certainly a promising player at Goodison Park but former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has seemingly gotten the best out of the winger.
The Toffees have, so far, been busy in the transfer market with Tim Iroegbunam and Jack Harrison moving to Goodison Park but a replacement for Gordon has to be a priority for the Toffees.

‘Unique’ winger could be ideal replacement
Gordon had an outstanding season for the Geordie side as he netted 11 times in the Premier League and provided 10 assists and there is one player they are interested in who could be a potential replacement.
HITC understands that Everton are one of the sides attempting to hijack Ipswich Town’s deal for Hull City winger Jaden Philogene.
Whilst there are multiple clubs interested in the winger, including Crystal Palace who are looking for a Michael Olise replacement, Everton have to be at the front of the queue.
The Toffees have had their offer accepted and Philogene will be left with a big decision to make over his future but the talented winger would be wise to move to Goodison Park.
Micah Richards has labelled the winger as ‘unique‘ because of the frankly outrageous goal he scored for the Tigers last season.
Philogene scored a ridiculous rabona for the Tigers last season which Liam Rosenior hailed as an ‘unbelievable‘ goal. To have the confidence to try and execute this, and pull it off, means he would play with no fear for the Toffees and be an outstanding fit.
Everton move makes a lot of sense for Philogene
Whilst there is also Palace, who have too had an offer for Philogene accepted by Hull, Everton have to position themselves at the front of the queue.
Everton fans love players with flair and Philogene certainly offers that in abundance, whether it’s off the left or the right hand side.
Pulling off a signing like Philogene, who is still just 22 years of age, would be a major coup for the Toffees.
In all competitions for the Tigers last season, Philogene scored 12 times and provided six assists for his teammates.
