Hal Robson-Kanu endured a mixed first season with West Bromwich Albion, but still did enough to earn a new deal at the Hawthorns.
West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news that the club announced on their official website that Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new contract that is set to keep him at the Hawthorns until 2020.
The 28-year-old joined the Baggies last summer in the wake of Wales’ tremendous run to the semi-finals of the European Championships – during which the former Reading man scored a Puskas Award-nominated goal in the famous win over Belgium.

Unfortunately, he struggled to make a major impact for Tony Pulis’ men, predominantly assuming an understudy role to Salomon Rondon despite the fact that the pair were the club’s only two senior strikers last season.
He scored three times in 29 Premier League games for West Brom, but his tally looks a lot more impressive when you consider that he started just five times in the top flight.
Nevertheless, news of his deal at the Hawthorns has been met with a mixed response amongst the Baggies fans, with many questioning what the 28-year-old has done to earn any kind of contract extension, let alone one that should keep him at the club until 2020.
However, some have welcomed the news, believing that Robson-Kanu is a good squad player to have.
