Anthony Gordon expressed his frustration on his Instagram story at Everton’s disallowed goal during his side’s 1-1 draw at Leeds United on Tuesday night.
It was an end-to-end game at Elland Road, with Leeds and Everton trading blows as they searched for those all-important three points.
Towards the end of the game, Demarai Gray went through on goal to score what looked like the winning goal, only for VAR to chalk the goal off and result in Frank Lampard’s side still searching for their first win of the new Premier League season.
Gordon, who opened the scoring in Yorkshire, made his feelings pretty clear on his IG story because he thinks someone is ‘making these lines up’.
Many people are relating back to Marcus Rashford’s goal for Manchester United during their 2-1 win over Liverpool a number of weeks ago.
Rashford’s goal was also on the tipping line of being offside, just like Gray’s, yet one was awarded and the other was ruled out. Consistency, eh?!
All in all, it proved to be costly because Everton are now still searching for their first win of the new Premier League season.

STRONG START FOR LEEDS, SAME OLD PROBLEMS FOR EVERTON?
Last season, both Leeds and Everton survived relegation by the skin of their teeth and the duo are hoping for very different outcomes this term.
Jesse Marsch’s side have shown that there is light at the end of the tunnel because they are sitting fifth in the league after five matches, with their new signings thriving in Yorkshire.
But it’s the same old problems for the Toffees, so far, who are sitting above the relegation zone, searching for that first win, but performances have been a lot more encouraging despite their current standings.
