Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Fabrizio Romano revealed some interesting information about José Mourinho’s contract.
The pressure on the Spurs boss has truly ramped up following Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League.
This prompted many to discuss the probability of Daniel Levy sacking Mourinho, and how much it would cost to do so.
For what it’s worth, the Independent claim it cost Manchester United £19.6 million to sack the Portuguese coach, so it won’t be cheap.
The discussion of a break clause in Mourinho’s contract has come to light.
However, Romano – a respected journalist – believes there is no such clause.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, the Italian said: “If Tottenham want to sack Jose Mourinho, they will have to pay him until he finds a club (as there’s no break clause).”
Now, some Tottenham fans have reacted badly to this news, and you can understand why.
The Daily Mail believe Mourinho earns £15 million-a-year, on his contract which runs until June 30th 2023.

On that note, if Levy were to sack him now, he would have to pay the ex-Chelsea boss a sum in the region of £30 million, we estimate.
That is an eye-watering amount, and will most likely see Mourinho keep his job, in our view.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have said about Romano’s revelation…
