Simon Jordan told talkSPORT that there is a ‘campaign’ against Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho and he is being treated differently to someone like Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
The former Crystal Palace owner thinks the media’s coverage of Mourinho is ‘unfair’ and he believes Arteta criticises the Arsenal players in a similar fashion to his North London rival.
It has been a pretty dramatic week for Tottenham because after they were beaten by Arsenal, they then collapsed in Croatia last Thursday to get dumped out of the Europa League.
Understandably, moments such as that result in highly-critical comments from the three-time Premier League winner, as Jordan defended the Tottenham boss.
“Some of these managers are making comments,” said Jordan. “I am going to take you off on a tangent for a second against this campaign against Mourinho.
“I know Mourinho and his team’s performance last Thursday was a disgrace but he makes observations about players. He criticises the way the team play and it’s an absolute outrage.
“Yet, you have people like Arteta saying the same thing and it doesn’t get the same focus. He (Arteta) talks about the phases of play that are unacceptable, how two teams turned up and how it’s not good enough.
“It’s really no different to what Mourinho says. Yet the media latches on what Mourinho says and how he’s a dark sinister connotation that is Mourinho again.
“I watched MOTD where Alex Scott and Carlton Cole saying ‘here he goes again throwing them under the bus’. What do you mean? Making people accountable? Asking people to do their jobs? It’s a bugbear of mine with Mourinho. There is an unfair perspective of him sometimes.”

At the end of the day, Mourinho is going to be judged on two things when the final ball is kicked this season – top-four and the League Cup final.
If Mourinho delivers both then there will be a lot of people eating their words and the former Real Madrid boss will make sure they do.
But equally, if Spurs fail in both departments then the vultures will be out on Mourinho and it will be a surprise if he’s still their manager.
