Let’s be honest, it’s been a dismal season for Tottenham Hotspur but they may yet win a trophy.

By virtue of the fact that Spurs were top of the Premier League in mid-December and looking forward to a last-32 clash with Wolfsberger in the Europa League, you could argue that the wheels have come off in a big way in light of the fact that the North Londoners will do well to finish in the top four and have been knocked out of Europe by Dinamo Zagreb.

Still, Tottenham could potentially end their 13-year trophy drought this season if they beat Manchester City next month.

Wembley plays host to a Carabao Cup final on April 25 and according to The Daily Mail, it’ll be used as a test event to reintroduce fans back into stadiums.

The report claims that as many as 8,000 fans may be given permission to attend Wembley, but that the ‘majority of tickets’ will be reserved for NHS workers and local residents.

Tottenham and Manchester City may get an allocation, but of no more than a quarter of the total allowance, meaning that a maximum of 2,000 tickets will be distributed by the clubs.

Here’s how some Lilywhites fans reacted to the report on Twitter:
