‘Unexpected’: Some Swansea fans react to Leeds United transfer rumour

Swansea City fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Leeds are closing in on signing Dan James from Manchester United.

Two years ago, when Leeds were trying to earn promotion to the Premier League, a move for James during the January transfer window fell through at the last minute.

Whilst the left many disappointed, in the end, the pacy winger got his big-money move to Old Trafford six months later.

But on transfer deadline day, it seems as though Leeds are finally going to land their man.

Swansea City supporters are glad that James will move to Elland Road because they feel he will be respected there.

The arrivals of two names you probably would have heard of – Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo – has probably resulted in James falling down the pecking order.

Even though he started the win against Leeds on the opening day and the win at Wolves over the weekend.

Another area of discussion from the Swansea fans was how much they will get out of this deal, in terms of the sell-on clause.

Now, all of that depends on what the Yorkshire side are paying for the Wales international.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Manchester United will get £24 million ‘guaranteed’ for their player.

Either way, the Swans will get something out of it, which is pretty useful for them in their quest to earn promotion to England’s top-flight and how they could use that money on deadline day.
