Nemanja Vidic hasn’t had the best of starts to life at Inter, but the former Manchester United defender says he needs time to adapt.
When Nemanja Vidic joined Inter as a free agent in the summer he was seen as a big coup for the Italians, but so far things have been far from ideal.
The Serbian international was sent off on his debut against Torino and his performances have been erratic in an Inter side that have underachieved.
Vidic was at fault for Napoli’s first goal and suspect for the second last weekend in a 2-2 draw and he hasn’t looked like the same man Manchester United fans remember.
“I am continuing to work hard. I’m training at my best and getting used to things. I hope to be part of the improvement here.”
Inter boss Walter Mazzarri is under intense pressure and a last-minute equaliser against Napoli may have saved his job. If Inter falter again then Vidic faces the prospect of losing the boss who brought him in.
