Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist Ryan Taylor has been discussing Arsenal’s hunt for a new winger and Jarrod Bowen.
As we know, Arsenal are in the market for a new wide player this summer. This so-called ‘mystery winger’ has been discussed for weeks on end, while they also had a failed pursuit of Raphinha.
One name that has continued to crop up is West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, and while the England international would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal, the Gunners aren’t likely to land the left-footer this summer.
Indeed, according to Taylor, Bowen is not for sale under any circumstances at West Ham this summer.
What’s been said?
Taylor spoke about Bowen’s current situation
“Jarrod Bowen is very much not for sale under any circumstances at West Ham this summer, they intend to keep him like Declan Rice, so I’m not sure that’s a serious option. Once again, he does fit that profile that Arsenal want which is a left-footed right-sided winger who could provide support to Saka and strengthen Arsenal’s quality in reserve that saw that fall short last season,” Taylor said.

Can’t sell now
While Bowen is probably destined to play at the very top level one day, West Ham United simply can’t sell Bowen at this moment in time.
The Hammers have been on the cusp of breaking into the Champions League places in each of the last two seasons, and it feels as though this upcoming season may well be their last shot of achieving that goal with this group of players, so they can’t sell any of their stars.
They’ve taken a firm stance with Declan Rice, and they seem to be doing the same with Bowen.
Next summer, this could be a different story, but we can understand why the Hammers view Bowen as untouchable right now – even if that is a spanner in the works for Arsenal.
