Leeds’ Under-23 side face Barnsley on Friday at Oakwell.

Leeds United duo Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman are regulars in Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, but they have both been left out of the second string’s away trip to Barnsley on Friday.
Baker, 23, has managed only eight substitute appearances for Leeds in the Championship, while featuring for the Whites in the Carabao Cup win over Bolton Wanderers as well as the loss to Preston North End.
Blackman, also on loan from Chelsea, has warmed the bench and only appeared for Leeds in the Carabao Cup, as Bailey Peacock-Farrell continues to go from strength to strength between the sticks.
Both players have featured heavily for the second string, but have now been left out as they take on Barnsley on Friday afternoon in the Professional Development League. So could they start against Blackburn?
It is unlikely that either will feature from the off for the first time. Peacock-Farrell has impressed in goal, conceding only nine goals in his 12 league games and keeping five clean sheets.
But he has been travelling around Europe with Northern Ireland during the international break, facing Austria and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and could be jaded from the travelling.
Mateusz Klich has also been with the Poland squad, but he returned early from action abroad and there were concerns that he had picked up a knock.
It could see Bielsa make a couple of changes to his side, though the Argentine has stuck to his guns so far this season. He will need to make changes eventually, though, to avoid burnout.
It remains to be seen if the former Lazio, Argentina and Chile boss will alter his side against Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn.
