Manchester United are sitting pretty while it’s a battle for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in divisions one and two of the under-21 Premier League.
Progress in the under-21 Premier League has been inconsistent over the last couple of weeks with matches broken up due to the international break, which was followed by Europa League games.
However, the flow of matches has started to increase and here’s our latest round of the most recent action.
Friday October 24
Manchester United were 2-1 victors in the only match on this date, beating West Ham United away from home with Michael Carrick playing for an hour.
Saturday October 25
Stoke were no match for Arsenal, with the Gunners winning the division two match 3-0 with Serge Gnabry among the goalscorers, with the German completing the full 90 minutes.
Sunday October 26
Fulham edged out Liverpool 3-2 in the only game last Sunday, which was a frustrating result for the Reds as they conceded more ground on the teams above them in the table, including the West Londoners.
Monday October 27
Monday earlier this week saw the bulk of matches played with eight fixtures altogether.
The most impressive wins came for Leicester City against Manchester City with the Foxes winning 6-2 and the 3-0 win for Everton against Norwich.
There were also wins for Spurs against Chelsea, Reading at Brighton and Middlesbrough at Newcastle with all other fixtures ending in draws.
Tuesday October 28
The only match yesterday saw Aston Villa hosting Wolves, with the home side securing a much needed 2-1 win.

Division One
Manchester United are sitting pretty at the top of division one with a one point lead over Fulham and two games in hand on the West Londoners. Chelsea, Southampton and Manchester City are all joint third on 11 points.
Leicester remain bottom of the table despite their impressive win against Manchester City.
Division Two
Middlesbrough lead the way in division two with 16 points, with Arsenal hunting them down in second place just two points behind. Newcastle can go joint top with Middlesbrough if they win their game in hand.
Brighton and Wolves share the bottom of the table on four points.
