Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter after the club posted footage of Wesley back in training at Bodymoor Heath.
It was great to see the Brazilian powerhouse back among his teammates, and sprinting again following his serious knee injury.
However, some fans think the 24-year-old still looks a little bit ‘uncomfortable’ in the footage.
Another supporter said he looks ‘stiff’ – another spotted that it looked like Wesley was limping.
Now, we’re quite confident that a Premier League club wouldn’t throw a £22 million asset back into full training if they weren’t 100% sure he was ready.
What we feel is happening – as also mentioned by a fan below – is that Wesley simply needs to rediscover the trust he had in his body prior to his injury.

It’s often more of a mental battle than a physical battle in the final stages of recovering from a serious injury.
A player who damaged their knee may be having doubts about whether they’re able to twist and turn like they use to.
Wesley might also be wary of sprinting to the maximum, in case his knee isn’t yet able to take his full power just yet.

As aforementioned, it probably can, or Villa wouldn’t have put him back in training – he just doesn’t know it yet, perhaps.
Hopefully, the Villans No.9 can get a few full-contact sessions under his belt with no worrying incidents, so he can rediscover a bit of confidence in his body.
Let’s see what the Villa fans on Twitter have been saying about the footage from Bodymoor Heath…
