Speaking on the Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Gary Lineker has been full of praise for Heung-Min Son.
The Match of the Day lads were tasked with ranking the 10 greatest Premier League players to never win the league, and inevitably, Son made the cut.
Unfortunately, the South Korean didn’t top anyone’s list, but Lineker made sure to give him the credit he deserves, labelling him as ‘unbelievably brilliant’ while praising his attitude.
What’s been said?
Lineker had nothing but good things to say about Son.
“One other player you both have in your bottom half is Son, Heung-Min Son. I thought he might be higher, he’s been an unbelievably brilliant player,” Lineker said.
“Yeah, he’s been class, but there are other players above him. In their hot spell, there were other players ahead of Son,” Micah Richards added.
“We spoke about him recently, he’s just such a fabulous footballer, he has such a great attitude and he’s incredibly gifted as well,” Lineker concluded.

Fantastic
Lineker says that Son is an incredibly gifted footballer with a brilliant attitude, and he’s right.
As Richards said, Spurs’ best years didn’t quite coincide with Son’s greatest spell of form, but the fact that he’s one of the only players to have improved since their second-place finish in 2017 says a lot about his attitude.
While others rested on their laurels and became disheartened, Son found another level and he has to go down as one of the best players in the division over the past five years.
Son is a joy to watch, and Spurs are very lucky to have him.
