Yaya Toure has stated that he found it ‘unbelievable’ that Arsenal were playing ‘one-touch’ football for the third goal they scored during their 3-2 win at Watford on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions.

The former Manchester City midfielder was also impressed by Bukayo Saka’s goal in the first half, as he credited the ‘nice movements’ from the Arsenal players.

In previous matches, Mikel Arteta’s side may have shown the gritty side to their game and that solid defensive structure that they have built for most of this season.

But, at Vicarage Road, it was more of a free-flowing old-school Arsene Wenger type of attacking performance from the north London club.

And Toure liked what he saw from Arteta’s players, including their one-touch play in the 52nd minute that led to Gabriel Martinelli’s goal.

“I think it’s a pretty nice goal (Saka),” said Toure. “Nice movements, started from the midfielder, passed the ball across, a one-two and a nice goal from Saka.

On Martinelli’s goal: “Look at that one-touch finish. It was one-touch, one-touch until the end. Unbelievable.”

It was another statement of intent from the Gunners and another tick in the box in their quest to secure Champions League football.

A lot was made of Arsenal’s call to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go in the manner in which they did and then not sign anyone in January.

But, at this moment in time, Arsenal are more than doing the job in the final third, even if Alexandre Lacazette isn’t scoring the goals.

One thing the Arsenal skippier is doing is making those players around him better and being that creative number nine that’s bringing the goals out of his teammates.
