Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to the club’s message on Sergio Aguero.

On Wednesday morning, the 33-year-old announced that he has to retire from the game for health reasons, as he told his press conference in Barcelona.

This was the message Spurs posted about the ‘remarkable’ career he had, especially during his days in the Premier League.

Not only did Aguero win numerous Premier League titles and domestic trophies in England.

But he also scored goals at a rate that not many could match him and some seriously important goals to boot, especially the obvious title-winning strike against QPR.

No other overseas player scored more goals in England’s top-flight than Aguero, which is some achievement given perhaps one of the greatest of them all, Thierry Henry, graced the Premier League for many, many years.

Although, those on the other side of north London don’t want to hear too much about him.

Nonetheless, Spurs fans lauded the career Aguero has had, as some spoke about the goals and moments of heartache he caused them.

But they praised him for being an exceptional player and probably one of the best of all.

Debates will now rage as to where Aguero ranks and whether he is the best striker of the Premier League era?

In terms of goals to minutes ratio, he has the best of all (108 mins), with Mo Salah and Harry Kane the current players who are on the top list with him (122 mins).
