Newcastle United supporters on Twitter were purring over Thiago Alcantara cameo appearance for Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The 29-year-old made his comeback from injury last night as Liverpool recorded a goalless draw at St James’ Park.
Liverpool missed that spark, that lively nature to their play for most parts of the game, but that soon changed when Thiago entered the fray midway through the second half.
Even Newcastle supporters were in awe at the technically-gifted midfielder and how he was moving with the ball during his brief time on the pitch.
It could be argued that if Thiago spent that bit longer on the pitch then Jurgen Klopp’s men may have walked away with three points, but those in the North East will be glad that wasn’t the case.
There is no doubt that Newcastle supporters were wary of his talents when he came onto the pitch and he was someone who was worrying them.
